Getting Started

Simply visit www.bubzbazaar.com.au, and click on Account in the top right-hand corner.

Logging into your Store's Account

Type in your Username and Password – and then you will be redirected to a sellers homepage. Click on My Shop and start creating your store.

Once logged in, click on the ‘My Shop’ tab in the main navigation.

  • Sales Dashboard: View Sales Reports
  • My Orders: View your orders, customer shipping details, add tracking numbers, apply order notes & print shipping labels.
  • Products: Add, edit, duplicate and delete products.
  • Coupons: Create coupon codes for your store. View old coupons.
  • Shop Settings: Set up shop. Add store details, contact details, social media links, flat rate shipping costs & your PayPal email.

Setting up your Store

Once you have logged in, go to My Shop | Settings | Store

Store Name: You business name

Store Description: Information about your business and the products you sell. Feel free to use HTML in the TEXT body.

Seller Description: Details about the owner of the business, experience etc

Store Website / Blog URL: Your businesses website (websites must be clean containing NO pornagraphic,violent or offensive material)

Store Phone: A number for customers to call you on. This field is required.

Store Country: Australia

Store Address: Your store’s address (if you’re a home business, please just make sure you populate City / Town, State and Postcode)

Enable Vacation Mode: If you are going away on holidays and will not be able to send your products out within a certain period, please enable vacation mode and leave a note. This will notify customers about the possible delay.

Once you have logged in, go to My Shop | Settings | Shipping

Currently, you can only select a flat rate shipping fee. This fee can multiply based on the number of products purchased, or be a one off standard fee for the entire purchase no matter how many products your customer buys.

Default National / International Shipping Fee: The fee that you want as a default. Ie: $12 shipping fee – this can be overridden on a per product basis (please note: it will charge $12 per item unless you check the ‘Charge once per product’.

Free national / international shipping: If you are happy to offer FREE shipping, then check this field.

Charge once per product for national / international shipping, even if more than one is purchased: Select this field if you want to have one standard shipping rate regardless of how many items are in your customers cart from your store.

Disable national / international shipping: Check this if you don’t want national / international shipping

Product handling fee: Put in an amount or percentage of product if you would like to charge a product handling fee. Leave blank for nil fee.

Shipping Policy: Place the copy for your shipping policy: ie: will ship within 3-days of payment being received by Australia Post.

Refund Policy: Place the copy for your refund policy. Feel free to look at Bubz Bazaar’s refund policy.

Shipping From: Select either Store Address or Other. If other, please put address in provided fields.

Adding a Simple Product

Go to My Shop | My Products | Add Product

Product Name: The name of your product

Product Description: is the long description that appears below the featured image under the title ‘Product Description’

Categories: Product categories are the main way to group products with similar features. For example, if you sell baby boy’s clothing, you might have “Baby”, “Boys”, and “Fashion” as categories.

Featured Image: The large image on the individual product page. This image is also the image that appears on the homepage and subsequent category pages.

Gallery: The images that appear under the featured image on the product page. You can have up to 5 images per product.

Product Type: For a simple product select “Simple Product”

Virtual: Check this option if you are selling a service based product, for instance an hour consult, an hour massage.

Download: Select this option if your product is downloadable, ie a gift voucher, music or an eBook.

Once you have configured the settings that appear on the page, you will now have to configure the backend settings using the tabs.

GENERAL

SKU: The Stock-keeping unit is a code to help you identify inventory. This code is a unique code for each of your products, and will show up on orders and on the product view, helping you to easily locate and identify the product your customer is purchasing or inquiring about. It’s not required, but it certainly helps.

Private Listing, hide this product from the catalog: Select this option if you DON’T want your product to appear in product searches. The only people who will actually be able to see this product if you check this option, are those that you sell the link to. This is particularly good if you are selling one-off products (customised) and want your customer to still purchase through your shop.

Regular Price ($):  The regular retail price for your item

Sale Price ($): This is optional and is obviously the sale price for your product.

From: The date the sale starts (if applicable). The date format is YYYY-MM-DD

To: Date sale ends. The sale will end at the beginning of the set date.

Tax Status: None (no tax) | Shipping (Tax only on shipping | Product (tax on product)

Tax Class: Standard (10% GST) | Reduced Rate (not applicable) | Zero (No tax)

If you click change ‘Add Product’ | ‘Save Changes’ | ‘Save Draft’ – it will take you away from the product configuration, and you’ll have to navigate back to the product. If you can wait until you’ve finished all the product configurations.

INVENTORY

This section is important if you want to manage your physical goods and ensure you do not oversell a product. You will also be notified when you are running low on a product, which gives you the opportunity to schedule purchase orders from wholesalers and filling backorders.

Check the Manage Stock option to enable stock on this  product. By doing so, you will notice that a new field appears ‘Stock QTY‘.

Manage Stock | Creating a simple product

Stock Qty: The number of products you have in stock.

Allow Backorders?: Do not allow – selection this option if you don’t want to allow backorders | Allow – notify customer – select this option if you want to allow a customer to buy a product even if you don’t have stock in at the moment – this option will notify customer that the product is on backorder | Allow – as with the ‘Allow – notify customer’ option, but this option will not notify customer that the product is on backorder.

Stock Status: In stock (if you have products in stock) | Out of Stock (if no products currently in stock)

Sold Individually: If you enable ‘Sold Individually’ then customers are only allowed to buy this item once per purchase.  This is useful if you sell one-of-a-kind items, limited editions or collectables.

LINKED PRODUCTS

Up-sells are displayed on the product details page. These are products that you may wish to encourage users to upgrade, based on the product they are currently viewing. For example, if the user is viewing the boys tee listing page, you may want to display boys dressy shirts on that same page as an up-sell.

Cross-sells are products that are displayed with the cart and related to the user’s cart contents. As an example, if the user adds a Portable Cot to their cart, you may want to suggest they purchase a fitted cot sheet set when they arrive at the cart page.

Grouping is currently not offered on Bubz Bazaar, but will be shortly for products that are sold as part of a group. Watch this space for more details.

ATTRIBUTES

In a simple product, an Attribute gives you an opportunity to provide more information, such as care information, ingredients and so forth. They are used also in variable products, but it is a much more complex process, but allows you to create variances for your products (ie colour and sizes).

Simple Product Attributes

To add an Attribute, simply select one from the drop down (if there isn’t one on there that is suitable, please contact [email protected]) and we can add.

Once you’ve pressed Add – a new box will appear. You need to put the values of the attribute in the box.

ATTRIBUTES

Variable products in WooCommerce can have multiple variations/options, each of which may have a different SKU or price. For example, a piece of clothing that is available in a variety of colors and sizes.

Options such as color or size for variable products are setup as attributes in WooCommerce.

Click on the Attributes Tab and select the Attribute you need and then click Add.

Simple Product Attributes

To add an Attribute, simply select one from the drop down (if there isn’t one on there that is suitable, please contact [email protected]) and we can add.

VARIATIONS

To add your variations (that are derived from your attributes) simply click on the box that says “Add Variations”

Then Select ‘Create variations from all attributes’ and then Go.

A box will now appear that looks like:

It will then tell you how many variations were created. Press OK.

If there are more than 50 variations based on the attributes, then you will have to repeat this step.

All your different variations will now appear.

Go to the Variable Product | Click on Variations Tab

Option 1: If the regular price is the same for all variation

Click on the Add Variations box and Select ‘Set regular price’ and ‘Go’

A box will then appear – add your regular price ie 24.95 then press OK

The figure you entered has now been set as the regular price for all variations.

Option 2: If the regular price is different for each variation

You will need to go in and add the price to each variation.

Simply click on the arrow next to the variation

Scroll down to Regular Price and add your price

Repeat for each variation

If the majority of your variations are set at one regular price, then set the regular price as instructed in option 1 and then go and manually change the regular price on the variables that have different prices.

Go to the Variable Product | Click on Variations Tab

Option 1: If the sale price is the same for all variation

Click on the Add Variations box and Select ‘Set sale price’ and ‘Go’

A box will then appear – add your sale price ie 19.95 then press OK

The figure you entered has now been set as the sale price for all variations.

Option 2: If the sale price is different for each variation

You will need to go in and add the sale price to each variation.

Simply click on the arrow next to the variation

Scroll down to Sale Price and add your price

Repeat for each variation

If the majority of your variations are set at one Sale Price, then set the sale price as instructed in option 1 and then go and manually change the sale price on the variables that have different prices.

Schedule Sales Period 2017-03-23T22:35:53+00:00

Go to the Variable Product | Click on Variations Tab

Option 1: If the sale period is the same for all variation

Click on the Add Variations box and Select ‘Set scheduled sales dates’ and ‘Go’

A box will then appear – add your sale start date in YYYY-MM-DD format then press OK

Another box will appear, now set Sale end date (YYYY-MM-DD format or leave blank) then press OK

The dates you entered will now schedule your sales for the dates you specified on all variations.

Option 2: If the sale period is different for each variation

You will need to go in and add the sales dates to each variation.

Simply click on the arrow next to the variation

Scroll down to ‘Set scheduled sales dates’ and add your dates

Repeat for each variation

If the majority of your variations’ sale is scheduled for the same dates then set the sale dates as instructed in option 1 and then go and manually change the sale dates on the variables that have a different sales period.
